After a five-year stint at Kirloskar Oil Engines, he moved to head Kirloskar Copeland – India’s leading compressor manufacturer, as its MD and CEO. He grew the topline of the company five-folds while at the helm. Gopal recently exited SLK Global Solutions after its successful acquisition by Coforge and is now jumping into an entirely new industry.

When he is not busy building his own businesses, he spends time beaming his passion of entrepreneurship to young entrepreneurs through his clear business fundamentals and guiding principles. He is a proverbial family man and thinks of his professional team as his family too. When he is not surfing the tides of business, he can be spotted in gear surfing the waves as he is also a passionate and competitive national-level windsurfer.

Gopal completed his engineering from the US in the late 80s.

He is B. Tech (Hons) IIT Kharagpur, 1996. He enjoys swimming, playing chess, badminton, and meditation.

He has spent a decade in start-ups and carries a rich diverse exposure across categories like medicine, jewellery, and furniture. He has built operations from scratch and has led efficiency improvement at scale.

Puneet is an alumnus of IIT BHU, Varanasi, and an MBA from the University of Bath, England.
